One of the West Coast’s premier country jazz guitarists, Trovato is known for merging the twangy sound of honky tonk with the burning urgency of bebop. In addition to being an active performer in the LA area, Trovato is on the faculty of the University of Southern California where he teaches improvisation and studio recording techniques. In our exclusive interview, Trovato describes making his album Country Jazzmaster and explains his quest to merge the sounds of these two American musical genres
