Guitarist Johnny Hiland began his music career in 2002 and, by 2004, he signed his first record deal with Steve Vai’s Favored Nations label, releasing a self-titled debut album later that year. Johnny Hiland has been named to many “Best of” lists in the guitar world over the years including being named one of the “Five Best Chickenpickers” by Gibson.com, one of the “50 Fastest Guitarists of All Time” by Guitar World magazine and, most recently, one of the “Top 3 Country Guitar Players” in a Vintage Guitar magazine reader’s poll. In addition, Johnny has played on records for such artists as Toby Keith, Ricky Skaggs, Hank Williams III, Randy Travis, The Dillards, Lynn Anderson, Janie Fricke, Rebecca Lynn Howard, The Ventures’ Nokie Edwards and many others. Johnny has released instructional materials for a number of respected companies - Truefire, Mel Bay, Hot Licks and Jam Track Central. He has an enthusiastic fan base from all over the world, and a number of signature products on the market through his many endorsements.
