GREG MARTIN INTERVIEW #2
(Originally aired on January 26, 2012)
Known for his righteous Gibson Les Paul tones, Greg Martin first emerged on the music scene as the lead guitarist in the Grammy-winning Kentucky Headhunters. Whether playing with the Headhunters, vocalist Jimmy Hall in the Mighty Jeremiahs, or the band Rufus Huff, Martin delivers spine-tingling guitar solos that evoke Free's Paul Kossoff, Duane Allman, Mick Taylor, and Bluesbreakers-era Eric Clapton, yet remain utterly his own.
In our exclusive interview, Martin tells us about recording the Headhunters' 2011 album, Dixie Lullabies, and explains how the band wrote the music for this rockin' release.
