GREG MARTIN INTERVIEW #1
(Originally aired on March 26, 2009)
Known for his righteous Gibson Les Paul tones, Greg Martin first emerged on the music scene as the lead guitarist in the Kentucky Headhunters. Whether playing with the Headhunters, vocalist Jimmy Hall in the Mighty Jeremiahs, or his latest band, Rufus Huff, Martin delivers spine-tingling guitar solos that evoke Free's Paul Kossoff, Duane Allman, Mick Taylor, and Bluesbreakers-era Eric Clapton, yet remain utterly his own.
In our exclusive interview, the Grammy-winning Martin tells us about Rufus Huff, and explains how they recorded their self-titled debut album. We'll hear selections from this hard-rocking release, as well as a soulful ballad from the Mighty Jeremiahs.
