He is now giving lessons out of his Chatham, Virginia home, via Skype and in Nashville during irregularly scheduled trips there. We are still scheduling Clinic and Lessons Tour dates around the country throughout 2019.

This is your chance to have a one-on-one private guitar experience with Johnny Hiland. A lesson with Johnny Hiland is structured around your individual playing style, comfort level, and how skilled you are as a player. Johnny will first jam with you to understand where you are in your playing. Then, the lesson will go in a direction of your choosing. If you want to learn some new licks or skills, if you are in a rut with your playing or if you just need direction, Johnny will help you any way that he can!
After teaching for over 22 years, Johnny has become adept at helping students grow from where they are and get to where they want to be. He loves all musical genres and wants his students to feel engaged and excited! Lessons are very informal and Johnny always tries to show the student a good time while teaching them and leaving them with more skills than they had before. He aims to please in many different areas of guitar.
